Sherri Shepherd Pays Heartfelt Tribute to 'The View' Co-Creator Bill Geddie: A Life-Changing Impact

During a Monday appearance on the ABC talk show, the former "The View" co-host paid admiration to Geddie, who’s short-lived was reported over the weekend. Together with Barbara Walters, Geddie co-created "The View" and attended as one of its executive producers.

In 2007, when he asked me to seem, I was a newly separated single mother, a stand-up comedy, and I knew nothing about politics. Shepherd demanded that he "unconditionally changed my life." And maybe he thought people would connect with me.

Geddie, according to Shepherd, was "tough" on her and urged the TV star to develop her own.

"I Did not I mention, I didn't know if the earth was round or smooth during my first week. I am aware that it is round; my mistake. Bill, oh my God, I do know, I shouted. He answered, 'No, this is ratings, baby,' when I said, I have got to get back on and say it.' Shepherd narrated this. 'Sherri, if we say sorry for everything we said, this would be called 'The Apology Show,' but it it is not ' he commented. It is known as "The View."

Geddie's death was announced by "The View" in an Instagram post on Friday.

The show noted beside a picture of Geddie, "He was a pioneer in television and greatly beloved by 'The View' family, creating the show with Barbara Walters and serving as its executive producer for 17 years." Bill Geddie is essential to the existence of "The View."

A statement from Geddie's family was also featured in the homage on the show. He was well-known on television, but his family remembered him as a husband and father who was even "bigger than life" at home.

Shepherd wrote in a Friday Instagram post that she was "completely devastated" by Geddie's passing.

The presenter of "Sherri" remarked, "Bill really transformed my life because he believed in me. Bill Geddie described it as "being seen by someone in this business who also has the power to make you even better than you thought you could be. Throughout Season 1 of the #sherrishowtv, I spoke with him a lot for encouragement and advise. He was a tremendous friend, mentor, and leader. Bill, you are loved.
